The Unsolved Disappearance of Krista Daniel

42 year old Krista Daniel was last seen crossing 8 Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan on the night of April 22, 2020. Krista hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Background

Krista’s husband died a month before she went missing. Described as compassionate and intelligent by loved ones, she has five children between the ages of 2-17 years old.

Disappearance

At 7:30 pm on April 22, 2020, Krista Daniel was captured on surveillance video leaving Olar’s party store and walking across the west bound lanes of 8 Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan. She was heading back to her house on Hawthorn.

Krista hasn’t been seen or heard from since. She was reported missing to the Detroit Police Department after she failed to return home.

Investigation

Krista went to Olar’s party store on the night of April 22 to get some money from a family friend, and had planned to head back home after.

Police believe Krista may have been beaten, shot, and put in the back of a car in the area of 8 Mile Road and Hawthorne Street.

Krista’s mother told CBS News she believes her daughter was murdered, and that people with information are too afraid to come forward.

“I’m 70 years old. I need to find my daughter and bury her. And know she’s safe. And her children need a place to mourn her.”

Whereabouts

The location of Krista Daniel, as well as the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, remains unknown.

Appearance

White female with grey/partially grey hair and green eyes. Krista stands 5’4 and weights 130 pounds.

Krista has a mole on her left eyebrow, a scar on her right arm, a linear scar on her abdomen, and a tattoo of “Charlie” and a cross on her right ankle.

Clothing & Accessories:
Krista was last seen wearing a teal winter coat, a brown hoodie, blue jeans, and brown boots. She was carrying a blue bag.

She was last seen with her hair pulled back in a ponytail.
