Close, so it was the series right before the last one, and then I was asked to take on a lead role for the first time. Victoria Asare-Archer on what makes Harlan Coben’s books special

Coben’s books have become excellent source material for Netflix and, as Fool Me shows. After reaching Netflix’s all-time top 10, they are becoming extremely popular.

When asked what makes books work so well for television, Asare-Archer replied:

“The books are fantastic and fun. They contain wise, intricate and complicated stories. As you say,
you’re always guessing what the next twist will be.

There is a lot of energy in them. Harlan Coben knows how to make a thriller that is both entertaining and engaging, and at the same time beautiful and full of amazing actors. It’s just a great experience and will hopefully be completely different to the rest, in the sense that this is Harlan Coben’s fifth production in the UK. They all have a slightly different tone, a slightly different atmosphere. This is the first one to take place in the city. It’s only five episodes, so it really centers around one character, which is what makes it so intense, emotional, and full of character.

It has a slightly different tone, but is very reminiscent of Harlan Coben’s classic thriller.
