Amazon Web Services and the WAX blockchain combine to support Web3 gaming tools
Amazon Web Services and the WAX blockchain have come together to allow developers to easily integrate Web3 features at the touch of a button.
As part of the new partnership, Amazon Managed Blockchain will add support for WAX’s Web3 suite of tools. WAX, formally known as Worldwide Asset Exchange, is a blockchain ecosystem for gaming and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Amazon Managed Blockchain (AMB) is a fully managed service designed to help developers build resilient, decentralized applications (dApps) on both public and private blockchains, offering them instant and serverless access to multiple decentralized networks without having to worry about deploying specialized infrastructure.
Until now, developers wanting to integrate Web3 functionality had to either manually deploy their own nodes – a complex and time-consuming process – or use existing node providers, relinquishing some control over their infrastructure.

Once integrated with AMB, WAX now enables developers to deploy their nodes with just a few clicks in the AWS console, making the entire process as streamlined and seamless as possible. After this simple implementation, developers can freely use their WAX nodes to experiment and build on the WAX blockchain and interact with both the mainnet and testnet without additional obstacles.
To further ease the implementation process, WAX also offers studios and companies a full suite of tools and solutions designed to streamline the Web3 development process, including Cloud Wallet, single sign-on (SSO) and OAUTH, native random number generation service, developer portal, bridge cross-chain and blockchain explorer.
“The new partnership between WAX and Amazon Web Services is another important step in our journey to mass Web3 adoption, enabling both native and traditional Web2 blockchain developers to start building their applications on the WAX blockchain or implement decentralized features into their existing projects” – said Lukas Śliwka, CTO at WAX, in a statement. “In addition to offering a new, seamless way to configure Web3 infrastructure, WAX will also provide developers with a full set of additional tools and documentation to make the deployment process as seamless as possible.”
As a new official Amazon Solution Provider, WAX can offer developer guides and other resources, and can help companies easily navigate all the intricacies of Web3 development. In addition to blockchain-native builders, this integration also enables traditional Web2 creators to quickly implement decentralized elements into their projects, whether they are Web3 games, digital asset marketplaces, fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), or any other dApps.
“Today, Web3 is already a huge and rapidly growing sector that aims to revolutionize our digital space, but that doesn’t mean it should evolve in a vacuum. By combining the power of blockchain with traditional Web2 frameworks, we can offer developers the best of both worlds, accelerating the development of next-generation applications using the massive cloud computing capabilities provided by AWS,” said Dimitri Nikolaros of BountyBlok, a top 21 blockchain producer on WAX, in statement.
WAX blockchain’s custom tools and incentives are designed to improve the usability of blockchain technology in gaming, e-commerce, and digital collectibles trading. Over 140 Web3 games have chosen to use WAX as the basis for their projects. The blockchain has over two million unique active wallets and has enabled over 300 million transactions in the last 30 days.
Notably, the new partnership with AWS expands WAX’s existing partnership with Amazon. Recently, Brawlers, the WAX-based trading card game designed by legendary Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield, became part of the Amazon Prime Gaming service alongside traditional Web2 games such as Apex Legends, Roblox, Call of Duty: Warzone, Valorant, Runescape , League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2042 and many others.
As part of this partnership, all Prime Gaming subscribers gained access to free WAX accounts and can enjoy monthly opportunities to receive exclusive in-game items in Brawlers, including a full set of in-game cards with holiday themes such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve Year.
